A HEARTY HOME COOKED BEEF STEW, SLOW COOKED WITH DELICIOUS FLAVOUR FOR ALL THE FAMILY TO ENJOY

INGREDIENTS
2 ONIONS
4 LARGE CARROTS
400g DICED BEEF
2-3 TABLESPOON PLAIN FLOUR
1 BAY LEAF
1 CELERY STICK
TOMATO PUREE
1 BEEF STOCK CUBE
GRAVY GRANULES
WORCESTER SAUCE
BUTTER
RECIPE
1.PEEL AND FINELY CHOP THE ONIONS,CARROTS AND CELERY AND FRY THEM IN A KNOB OR 2 OF BUTTER TILL SOFT. THEN ADD THEM TO THE SLOW COOKER ON A LOW HEAT WITH 200ML WATER (IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SLOW COOKER YOU CAN DO IT IN A BIG PAN ON A LOW HEAT)
2. COAT THE BEEF WITH A FEW TABLESPOONS OF FLOUR AND FRY IN A PAN ON A LOW HEAT TO BROWN THE BEEF AND THEN ADD THE BEEF TO THE SLOW COOKER
3.THROW IN A BAY LEAF, 1 TABLESPOON OF WORCESTER SAUCE, 1 TABLESPOON TOMATO PUREE, SPRINKLE OF SALT AND PEPPER, BEEF STOCK CUBE AND 200ML OF WATER AND GIVE A MIX. LEAVE TO COOK ON LOW HEAT FOR 7 HOURS (OR LONGER IF NEEDED) I LIKE TO GIVE MINE A MIX IN BETWEEN THE TIME BUT IT CAN BE LEFT
4.TO THICKEN THE SAUCE BEFORE EATING YOU CAN ADD GRAVY GRANULES TO THICKEN IT UP AND ADD FLAVOUR
5. ENJOY WITH HOMEMADE BREAD AND LASHES OF BUTTER
