INGREDIENTS
MAKES 4 MEDIUM SIZED FLATBREADS
4G DRIED YEAST
240ML WARM WATER
2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
390G STRONG BREAD FLOUR
1 LEVEL TEASPOON SUGAR
1 LEVEL TEASPOON SALT
RECIPE
1. ADD YEAST AND WARM WATER TO A BOWL AND LEAVE TO REST FOR 5 MINUTES
2. NOW ADD THE OLIVE OIL, FLOUR, SUGAR AND SALT AND MIX WELL (EITHER BY HAND OR WITH A STAND MIXER)
3. KNEAD THE DOUGH FOR 5 MINUTES – IT WILL BE STICKY SO SPRINKLE THE SURFACE WITH FLOUR AND SPRINKLE THE TOP IF NEEDED (DON’T ADD TOO MUCH) YOU CAN PUT SOME OLIVE OIL ON YOUR HANDS TO HELP KEEP THE DOUGH MOIST AND STOP IT STICKING
4. YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE A NICE SMOOTH SOUGH. OIL AND BOWL AND ADD THE DOUGH TO IT AND COVER TO RISE FOR 1-2 HOURS
5. ONCE YOUR READY TO USE, REMOVE THE DOUGH FROM THE BOWL AND CUT THEM INTO 4 AND ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE ROLL OUT THE FIRST ONE
6. HEAT A LITTLE OIL IN A FRYING PAN AND ADD THE DOUGH TO THE PAN, COOK FOR A FEW MINUTES EACH SIDE. YOU WILL SEE IT STARTING TO PUFF UP. IF YOU LIKE THEM MORE TOASTED GIRLL THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES!!
