CHOCOLATE BROWNIES DECORATED WITH LOVELY HEART DECORATIONS
TOTALLY IRRESISTIBLE!



INGREDIENTS
100G BUTTER
4 EGGS
100G PLAIN FLOUR
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
200G DARK CHOCOLATE
250G CASTER SUGAR
30G COCOA POWDER
100G CHOCOLATE CHIPS OR CHUNKS
FOR DECORATION – ICING SUGAR, PINK OR RED FOOD COLOURING AND RED FONDANT ICING
RECIPE
FIRSTLY
PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 180°C FAN AND LINE A SMALL BAKING TRAY OR TIN WITH BAKING PAPER
NOW…
IN A PAN MELT THE BUTTER AND THE CHOCOLATE
IN A BOWL
MIX THE EGGS AND SUGAR
IN A SEPARATE BOWL
MIX THE FLOUR, COCOA POWDER, BAKING POWDER, CHOCOLATE CHIPS
POUR THE CHOCOLATE MIX INTO THE EGG MIX
GIVE IT A QUICK MIX AND THEN ADD THE DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL
POUR
INTO THE LINED TRAY/TIN AND POP INTO THE OVEN. BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES ON 180°C AND THEN TURN DOWN TO 170°C FOR A FURTHER 25-20 MINUTES. TO CHECK IT’S COOKED, PUSH A SKEWER INTO THE CAKE AND IF IT COMES OUT CLEAN IT’S READY. IF THE SKEWER HAS AND MIXTURE ON IT THEN IT MAY NEED A BIT LONGER.
NEXT
REMOVE FROM THE OVEN AND CUT UP THE BROWNIES AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT THE OVEN AS IT’S EASIER TO CUT THEM WHEN THEY ARE WARM. I USED A HEART COOKIE CUTTER TO CUT OUT THE SHAPES USING FONDANT ICING AND ICING SUGAR AND FOOD COLOURING TO DECORATE THE OTHERS
