WHO DOESN’T LOVE AN ICE CREAM IN THE SUNSHINE!!
I MAKE A DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE ORANGE ICE CREAM THAT CAN EASILY BE WHIPPED UP IN 5 MINUTES AND CHILLED OVERNIGHT READY FOR A WEEKEND TREAT. THE CHOCOLATE ORANGE POWERS THROUGH AS WELL AS DELIGHTFUL CREAMINESS LEAVING YOU WANTING MORE!!



INGREDIENTS
MAKES APPROX 8-10 ICE CREAMS
2 TERRY’S CHOCOLATE ORANGES (300g)
600ML DOUBLE CREAM
1 TIN OF CONDENSED MILK (397g)
RECIPE
FIRST
PUT THE KETTLE ON TO BOIL
THEN
BREAK UP THE CHOCOLATES ORANGES AND PUT 4 PIECES TO ONE SIDE
NOW
POUR THE BOILING WATER INTO A SMALL PAN.
PUT THE CHOCOLATE INTO A BOWL AND SIT IT ON TOP OF THE SMALL PAN. COVER WITH A TEA TOWEL AND ALLOW CHOCOLATE TO MELT
THEN
USING A MIXER IS EASIEST ALTHOUGH YOU CAN MIX THIS BY HAND.
ADD TO A MIXING BOWL ALL THE DOUBLE CREAM AND CONDENSED MILK
ONCE
THE CHOCOLATE HAS FULLY MELTED ADD THAT TO THE BOWL (BUT SAVE JUST A LITTLE MELTED CHOCOLATE FOR SWIRLING AT THE END)
BEGIN TO MIX. YOU WANT TO MIX FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND IT WILL START TO TURN INTO A THICKER MOOSE LIKE TEXTURE
POUR THE MIXTURE INTO A CONTAINER WITH A LID SUITABLE FOR THE FREEZER
DRIZZLE
OVER THE REMAINING MELTED CHOCOLATE AND SWIRL IT AROUND USING A COCKTAIL STICK. CHOP UP THE REMAINING CHOCOLATE PIECES AND SPRINKLE THEM ON THE TOP.
ADD
THE LID AND PLACE IN THE FREEZER FOR A MINIMUM 12 HOURS
IT WILL KEEP IN THE FREEZER FOR MONTHS BUT I PROMISE IT WON’T LAST THAT LONG!
MY TOP TIP IS TO REMOVE FROM THE FREEZER 15 MINUTES BEFORE USING AS IT MAKES IT SMOOTHER AND SOFTER TO SCOOP!
