IT’S SUPER EASY TO MAKE AND FUN FOR THE KIDS TO DO TO!! WAY BETTER THAN A SHOP BOUGHT OR A FRZEN PIZZA!!!

INGREDIENTS
MAKES 6 PIZZAS BASES- THE DOUGH CAN BE FROZEN FOR THE ONES YOU DON’T USE
1KG 00 FLOUR – I LIKE TO USE OONI 00 PIZZA FLOUR
7G DRIED YEAST
625ML WARM WATER
2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
2 TEASPOONS SALT
SEMOLINA (OPTIONAL)

RECIPE
FIRST
IN A JUG MEASURE 625ML WATER AND POP IT INTO THE MICROWAVE FOR A MINUTE TO WARM UP
THEN
ADD TO THE WATER 7G OF DRIED YEAST AND MIX. LEAVE IT FOR 5 MINUTES TO ACTIVATE WHERE YOU SHOULD SEE FROTHY BUBBLES FORMING
NOW
ADD IN A BIG BOWL 1KG FLOUR AND 2 TEASPOONS OF SALT
THEN
POUR THE JUG INTO THE BOWL AND MIX. ALSO ADD IN 2 TABLESPOONS OF OLIVE OIL AND MIX. IT WILL START TO FORM A MESSY DOUGH!
NOW
TIP IT OUT ONTO A FLOURED SURFACE, PUT A DROP OF OIL ON YOUR HANDS TO HELP WITH THE STICKINESS AND KNEAD FOR 5-10 MINUTES AND IT SHOULD START TO BECOME SMOOTHER! ROLL IT INTO A BALL SHAPE.
LIGHTLY OIL A BOWL SO IT DOESN’T STICK
ADD IN THE DOUGH AND COVER WITH CLING FILM – LEAVE TO RISE FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS UNTIL DOUBLE IN SIZE
ONCE DOUBLED IN SIZE
LIGHTLY FLOUR A WORK SURFACE AND TIP OUT THE DOUGH AND DIVIDE INTO 6. NOW IF YOU DON’T NEED ALL 6 THEN NOW IS THE TIME TO FREEZE THEM. SEE FREEZING INSTRUCTIONS BELOW, IF NOT FREEZING THEN CARRY ON TO THE NEXT STEP.
FREEZE
USE PLASTIC TUBS AND LIGHTLY OIL THEM AND ADD THE DOUGH,SEAL AND FREEZE. WHEN WANTING TO USE THEM REMOVE FROM THE FREEZER IN THE MORNING AND ALLOW TO DEFROST FOR 4 HOURS, THEN REMOVE FROM THE TUB INTO A BOWL AND LET IT RISE AND THEN IT IS READY TO USE.
LIGHTLY FLOUR A SURFACE AND ADD ONE DOUGH BALL – (IF YOU HAVE SEMOLINA INSTEAD OF FLOUR USE THIS AS IT HELPS STOP THE DOUGH BURNING)
USING THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS PUSH OUT THE DOUGH TO MAKE A CIRCULAR SHAPE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PICK UP THE DOUGH AND STRETCH IT OUT TO DESIRED SIZE
NOW TOP IT WITH WHATEVER YOU WISH!
WE LIKE A TOMATO BASE FOLLOWED BY LOTS OF CHEESE, HAM, PINEAPPLE AND MOZZARELLA
BAKE IN A HOT OVEN ON 180° FOR APPROX 15-20 MINUTES OR A FEW MINUTES IN A PIZZA OVEN!
