AUTUMN TREATS! MISERABLE WEATHER CALLS FOR DAYS INSIDE BAKING!! MY HEDGEHOG BISCUITS ARE THE PERFECT AUTUMN TREAT. THE BISCUIT WITH THE CHOCOLATE IS SO MOURISH BUT YOU CAN ENJOY THEM PLAIN TOO.



INGREDIENTS
125G SOFT BUTTER
DROP OF VANILLA BEAN PASTE/ESSENCE
75G ICING SUGAR
1 EGG YOLK
175G SELF RAISING FLOUR
200G CHOCOLATE FOR MELTING
CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES
RECIPE
MIX THE SOFT BUTTER WITH THE ICING SUGAR.
ADD THE EGG YOLK AND VANILLA BEAN PASTE AND MIX.
ADD THE FLOUR AND MIX WELL. USE YOU HANDS TO COMBINE IT ALL TOGETHER INTO A DOUGH.
WRAP IT TIGHT IN CLINGFILM AND CHILL IN THE FRIDGE FOR 30 MINUTES.
PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 160° (FAN) AND LINE A BAKING TRAY WITH BAKING PAPER.
DUST A WORKTOP WITH FLOUR AND ROLL OUT THE DOUGH. CUT OUT HEDGEHOG SHAPES USING A KNIFE.
PLACE THEM ONTO THE BAKING TRAY AND BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES.
SET ASIDE TO COOL AND MELT THE CHOCOLATE WHILE YOU ARE WAITING.
DIP 3/4 OF THE BISCUITS INTO THE CHOCOLATE TO MAKE THE HEDGEHOG BODY AND THEN SPRINKLE ON THE CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES.
USE A COCKTAIL STICK TO DOT ON SOME MELTED CHOCOLATE FOR THE NOSE AND EYES
