A WHOLESOME AND HEALTHY WINTER STEW



INGREDIENTS
PACK OF 8 PORK SAUSAGES
4 CARROTS
2 ONIONS
1 GARLIC CLOVE
2 BEEF STOCK CUBES
GRAVY GRANULES
5 POTATOES
BUTTER
SALT AND PEPPER
OLIVE OIL
600ML BOILING WATER
RECIPE
PEEL THE CARROTS AND CUT THEM INTO SMALL CHUNKS AND ADD TO A PAN OF BOILING WATER TO COOK UNTIL SOFT (APPROX 30 MINUTES)
CUT UP THE POTATOES INTO LARGE CHUNKS AND ADD TO A PAN OF BOILING WATER TO COOK UNTIL SOFT TO MAKE INTO MASH (APPROX 30 MINUTES)
AT THE SAME TIME USING SCISSORS CUT THE SAUSAGE UP INTO ABOUT 5/6 PIECES EACH. ADD A DROP OF OLIVE OIL TO A PAN AND BEGIN TO COOK THE SAUSAGES. AFTER 5 MINUTES ADD IN THE ONIONS TO COOK AND AFTER A FURTHER 5 MINUTES ADD IN THE GARLIC.
THEN ADD IN A SPRINKLE OF SALT AND PEPPER ALONG WITH 500ML BOILING WATER AND 2 BEEF STOCK CUBES AND BRING TO THE BOIL AND THEN SIMMER FOR 5 MINUTES.
THEN ADD IN 4-5 LARGE SPOONFULS OF GRAVY GRANULES TO THICKEN. ADD MORE IF IT NEEDS TO BE THICKER AND ADD THE CARROTS TO THE STEW.
ONCE THE POTATO IS SOFT, DRAIN, MASH AND ADD THE BUTTER AND SERVE ALONGSIDE THE SAUSAGE STEW.
YOU CAN ALSO MAKE THIS AT THE WEEKEND AND FREEZE FOR A QUICK GO TO MEAL IN THE WEEK! JUST REMEMBER TO TAKE IT OUT TO DEFROST IN THE MORNING AND REHEAT UNTIL THE SAUSAGE IS COOKED.
